Audrey, I am so glad you’re out and lived to tell the tale.

You are a courageous, patient, and kind woman to have put up with all that. Don’t you ever feel bad wondering how you wasted so many years believing him — while you were there, it seemed like the right thing for you to do.

It is hard to recognize an abusive relationship, let alone get out of one. You did both. Good on you!!

I have had some experience with this and what is obvious is the abuser manipulates and takes advantage of someone else’s love, good nature, and kindness.

Though you will not forget this experience in a hurry, don’t let him rob you of the beautiful relationships waiting for you.
