Darcy what a fascinating piece. You bring up some really good points. It is quite worrying that many people are far more comfortable connecting over technology than in person. That people would avoid others and choose a robot because it’s better than the effort of interacting with real humans.

I was at a friend’s place recently and it was both amazing and disturbing to have Alexa be so responsive to our questions and conversations.

There definitely needs to be a balance between technology and old school human interaction. Good on you Darcy, that mantra sounds perfect — it comes from your heart :)
