Hey Eric, so agree with you on these points. Social media is an addiction and it takes conscious effort to kick it. It seems daunting to be alone with our thoughts yet I’ve found so much good comes from being mindful.
I get on social only 3 days a week and only for less than 20 minutes each day. I really don’t feel like I miss much — and I’ve found it a great way to be more productive when you’ve got short bursts of time to get shit done.
I figure that if it’s really important, people will call me or text me on my phone. The ones who actually have my number are the ones that mean the most anyway :)
