Hey Jessica, it’s an interesting perspective on loyalty I’d never considered.

But I agree, loyalty is an overused and overrated concept. Especially when it overrides other qualities such as respect, trust, consideration, decency, mutual interest.

You’re right, we don’t live in such extreme situations where we need to prove loyalty until death. Our relationships are better served with a more practical, grounded base.

This experience must have been pretty shit at the time, but it sounds like it’s forced you to confront and challenge the ideals many people live by without question. Cheers for sharing Jessica.
