Hi Ben, I read your article a few weeks ago. Since then I’ve ‘protected’ the first 3 hours of my morning with meetings in the arvo, and even a later lunch just so I can fit those 3 hours in :) It has been incredible! I get more done during a 3 hour block, and you’re right, the morning is when I’m most alert. I’ve been more productive and happy knowing that I’ve ticked off a big To Do off my list each day. And I leave other work that doesn’t take as much creativity or concentration until after lunch.
It’s a good point about eating protein in the morning — my daughter and I plan to eat eggs tomorrow instead of cereal! Eggs are her favourite so that’s no problem! ;)

Having a young child and playing with her constantly has actually inspired my first Medium article, so I agree with you on that topic — it’s such a wonderful activity and not done often enough by adults.
