Hi Blake, I love this line.

It’s about connecting isn’t it? Listening rather than just endlessly talking to a faceless crowd. When you write with the intention to connect to that one specific person, you know whether you’re successful when it resonates with that person.

In marketing, I see business owners want to reach ‘everyone’. They think by casting their nets out wide, they will haul in more fish. But when they have no idea who they’re hauling in, they can’t be specific in their messages. When they don’t try to understand that the worries, dreams, and priorities of a single professional, mum, or middle aged man, their generic message won’t inspire any of them.
