I’ve experienced accelerated learning as a rockclimber through many of the points you mentioned.
Unlearning to move forward: I had to get past the idea most beginner climbers have — they think climbing is about using their arms. Actually using legs is much better/
Community: the climbing community has been incredible to show me what’s possible, inspire me to climb harder, and encourage me when I don’t think I can go on.
Fundamentals: Mastering the fundamentals takes time. So I go to tech classes every week. Even now when I think I know the basics, I always learn something new. Different people have different ways of understanding and teaching fundamentals, so no matter how experienced I get, I’m always willing to learn.
