Rene, this is such a timely and awesome way to approach COVID-19. You're right, I keep hearing "2020 is a write off" and it's such a defeatist negative attitude. What resonates with me:

"it is not beneficial for anyone to adopt a falsely hopeful mindset that fast-forwarding one year will bring us back to the normal of early 2020. The world will not be like “it used to,” and that is okay. We need to embrace change and transform it into innovation fully."

We've got to move forward with gusto rather than linger miserably hoping the past will come back.
