Sah, that’s such a great point. It’s incredible how much we do or don’t do because of how we feel. Like many people, I set goals each year. And at the end of every year, I used to wonder why I forgot about them along the way. Why they didn’t get done.

One reason was because I relied on feeling to do too many things. And I didn’t feel like doing what needed to be done to achieve what mattered — more often than I felt like doing those things.

Now I’ve realized if what we really want is a must, it’s so crucial to just shut off the chatter and do the work. To acknowledge the fear, and go for it anyway. To push through tiredness, feeling unmotivated, yada yada yada, and just do the work.

It wasn’t til I realized this — I needed to get out of my own way — that I actually started to make a difference in my own life.
