Tim, really great perspective :) Many people are so obsessed with making their passion their life. It can work for some, but not for others. And certainly making time outside that passion is healthy.

A bit like a relationship. Like someone you love. You can spend all your time, money, and efforts on that one person. But you lose yourself along the way — and suffocate the person. You can end up losing your passion for them too, and a relationship like that isn’t healthy.

I have a tendency to get lost in writing. Pushing through to get something finished the way I think works. It sometimes affects the quality of my writing, especially when all that was needed was to leave it for a few days. To take myself out and do something else. To read other people’s writing and take in their perspectives. To immerse in other activities.

Really enjoyed reading this. Cheers for sharing Tim! :)
